The OSI Group has a strong focus to expand its European market and acquired Baho Food to intensify its presence in the local market. Baho Food is a privately owned enterprise that manufactures and distributes meat and other products to retail and food businesses in 18 European nations. The firm has five subsidiary companies, namely, Q Smart Life, Vital Convenience, Bakx Foods, Henri van de Bilt and Gelderland Frischwaren and two operational plants in Netherlands and Germany. It began operating 60 years ago and produces meat-based foods, a range of snacks, and drinks.
The main operating staff and president of the OSI Group stated adding Baho Food to OSI’s family will ensure that they satisfy the taste buds of their foreign customers. OSI will integrate its operational methods with those of Baho Food to manufacture products that meet the standards of their processes and maintain the quality revered in the local scene. Baho Food will retain its employees and managing director John Balvers while working with the OSI Group. John Balvers indicated that the union would help the two firms release great success in the regions.
OSI Group is an international foundation that has branches in Europe, China and the United States. David McDonald OSI Group revealed that the management team is well acquainted with every region’s native cultures and cuisine and works to maintain an operation that caters to all those needs. It has a robust presence in China since it opened the first plant in Beijing in 1992, and gained increased fame after the 2000 Olympics. The OSI Group distributed meat products such as sausages to attendees of the event and did not receive any negative feedback. The seamless operation earned the firm formidable partnerships with various food businesses in China and other countries, such as with McDonalds, Yam and Burger King.

David McDonald has a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Iowa State University. He is the project manager of OSI Industries and chairman of the North American Meat Institute.
